This privacy notice explains how Our Minds CIC collects, uses and protects your personal information, in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other relevant privacy legislation.

What personal data we collect

When you request resources (such as the Unmasking Gently reflective journal), sign up to our email list, attend an event, or enquire about working with us, we may collect:

  • Your name

  • Your email address

  • Any other information you choose to share with us (for example in emails, feedback or surveys)

We do not collect or store sensitive personal data (such as medical or diagnostic information) unless you explicitly choose to share it and we will never ask for this unless necessary for a specific service you have requested.

 

How your data is used

We will use your personal data to:

  • Send you the resource(s) you requested (such as the Unmasking Gently journal)

  • Email you monthly updates (resources, reflections, event news) if you choose to stay subscribed

  • Contact you about events, opportunities or services you have enquired about

  • Respond to any messages, questions or feedback you send us

We will never sell, rent or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

 

Lawful basis for processing

Our lawful basis for processing your personal data is:

  • Consent: when you sign up to receive resources or email updates, you consent to us contacting you for that purpose.

  • You can withdraw your consent at any time by clicking “unsubscribe” in any email, or by contacting us at lizzie.gale@ourminds.org.uk.

 

How long we keep your data

We will keep your data for as long as you choose to stay subscribed to our emails, or as long as is necessary to respond to your request.

You can unsubscribe at any time. If you unsubscribe, your personal data will be securely deleted from our mailing system.

You can also request that your data be deleted at any time.

 

How we store your data

Your personal data is securely stored using:

  • Flodesk (our email and mailing list provider, GDPR compliant)

  • Dropbox (for securely storing files and resources, where applicable)

We take reasonable steps to protect your data and prevent unauthorised access.

 

Your rights under GDPR

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you

  • Correct any inaccurate data

  • Withdraw consent at any time

  • Request that your data is deleted

  • Complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) if you believe your data is being misused
